No, this is not a click-bait. The book actually changed how I perceived things in my life. I would want to go on the roof-top and scream for everyone to read it — but maybe I might actually be late to reading it myself too & I am already regretting it.

However, there’s another side to it too. Probably, my mind wasn’t ready previously to go through this humongous change brought across by this single book. I might not have taken the effort to make things happen for me the way that I currently do. Maybe, there is a time for everything. Well, I can just console myself by saying this. But I can actually spread the word about the book and feel much better.

Its Atomic Habits by James Clear. I know, it has been around for quite some time now. A lot of similar books have been around. What makes this stand apart you ask.

Well, the book breaks down the technicality of habits. How it’s the very little things, little changes that matters. But how our mind is actually focused on only outcomes. How can we form long lasting habits and stick to them. The techniques to maintain consistency over discipline in all plain simple lucid words. The changes suggested here are actually atomic: but they have the power to own make life-lasting impact!

I could not believe I could, yet I was able to win below things for myself by reading the book and being able to form below habits for myself.

  • From not wanting to exercise at all to now craving for that endorphin rush.
  • From complaining about not having time to making time to cook clean and healthy.
  • From being a late riser to now slowly leaning towards an early one — one baby step at a time.
  • From always fighting thoughts in my head to now writing it down as a habit.
  • My habit with food has improved and how! That’s for another day though..
  • Consciously choosing to read every single day over scrolling social media apps.
  • And the list can go on!

Yes, the pandemic has been harsh to say the least. However, the book has been a boon & has helped to keep sane, form habits and keep at it. The book does not claim to advocate any complex process to achieve absolutely anything. Yet, it makes so many things happen for you.

How I wish I had come across and read the book earlier & not waited for a pandemic to happen. But nevertheless, its never too late to start…
